Rudrabhishek is an ancient chanting which was downloaded from the Aakasha (space). When the ancient sages and Rishis sat in meditation, they heard, and what they heard, they started transferring to other people.

The effect of Rudrabhishek is it creates positive energy and removes negative vibes. And a lot is said about the Rudrabhishek. When Rudrabishek happens nature flourishes, nature becomes joyful, happy.

Main thing is the vibration, that is it. If you ask me, ’Do you know the meaning of all the chants? I will say, ’I also don’t know.’ It’s the vibration of the chants that is important and then the meaning.

There are two parts, the first part says, ’Namo, namo, namo, namo!’

Mana, means mind. The word mind in English comes from Sanskrit word Mana.

Nama is the reverse of the mind. The mind going to its source is called Nama.

When the mind goes outside to experience the world, it is Mana. So Nama. is the mind going back to its source.

When it goes to its source, what does it find? Everything is made up of one consciousness.

*Q: Guruji What is the importance of Rudra pooja?*
*Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji*:-
Rudra pooja has been going on since centuries. It impacts the person and the environment.
They say that the villages in which Rudra pooja is done, there will be no sickness.
The important thing is to meditate.
People perform this as a ritual, without devotion and they do not get any benefit out of it.
These mantras affects the subtle world.
The vibration of the words is what is important. The pooja is done not for one or two people. It converts all the negativity into positivity
*In Rudrapooja 6 Shaktis are are honored.*
They are
 Shiva,
 Vishnu (Narayan)
Ganpati,
Surya,
MahaDevi (Laxmi Saraswati & Shakti) and
 Gurutattva.
*Rudrapooja reduces 4 types of Doshas*
Pitrudosha
 Grahdosha
Vastudosha
 karmadosha
This pooja balances tridosha
i.e.
Vatta Pitta Kapha
& it increases Prana & Sattva guna in us and the environment around us.

Now, what do the scientists today say? God Particle – by which everything has been made. Thousands of years ago the Rishis said the same thing, that everything is made up of one thing, and that they called Brahman. – that which is neither male nor female. It is nothing but a Tattva. Tattva means principle.

A great principle by which everything is made of, they called itBramhan. And when that Bramhan becomes personal, it is called Shiva Tattva – the innocent Divinity; that is in everything. That is why we say, ‘Namo, namo!’

In the trees, in the greenery, in the birds, even in the thieves, and in a dacoit, everywhere, it is the same one principle.

Then, the second part will say, ‘Chame, chame, chame, chame.’ You have heard this, isn’t it?! This means, everything is in Me.

Me’ in English comes from the Sanskrit word ’ Ma’, which means Myself.

Ma Ma’ means ’ For Me’, ‘In Me’. So, everything is in terms of ; myself;. The second part is everything is for me and everything is in terms of me.

Even for numbers they say, ‘Ekaachame’, which means, one, two, three, four, they are all my form; Myself. Like that, ‘Sugamchame’, happiness for me!

Abhayanchame’, fearlessness, happiness, health, all the good things in the universe, let them all come to me, and they are all part of me. That is it.

And as this is being chanted, usually milk and water runs through the crystal, drop by drop. This is the ancient method. It is done with water or in fire as well.

What they do is they keep a fire and they put different herbs for the different chants.
Or you allow a string of water to keep falling on a crystal and you listen to this chanting – this is the ancient method.

And done on Mondays it is even more special. Monday is the day of the moon and the moon and mind are connected. Mantra, mind, moon, they are all connected somewhere. So, in India, it is a tradition, they have this chanting going on in the Ashrams. So in our ashram also, every Monday, we have this.

All the five elements are used in pooja. Pooja means honoring all the elements, born out of fullness. So, fire, water, incense sticks, fruits, flowers, rice, whatever nature has given to us, those things are used and the chanting goes on.

There is a lot of depth and meaning to it. You can go and do some research on it, more and more things will come out.

Mainly, it creates more positive ions, more so when people are meditating.Just doing it as a ritual is not that effective because it is said that the Veda Mantras are effective when people are awake from within; for them, these mantras have more meaning. So, they help you to go deep into meditation.

It is a tradition to celebrate this event on the Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Shravan every year. Nag Panchami Puja Rituals

Create the idols of snakes with cow dung and place them on both sides of the doors of your house on the day of Nag Panchami.

Offer Curd, Durva, Gandha, Kusha, Akshat, Flowers, Modak and Malpua etc. to this statue of the snake.

On this day, offer food to the Brahmins and observe a fast. Doing so eliminates any fear of serpents. Although even though you cannot invite Brahmins at home due to the ongoing pandemic and guidelines regarding social distancing, you can take that portion out and donate it in a temple.

Apart from this, bathing the serpents with milk and worshipping them with devotion on this day also helps you get rid of your fear of snakes.

Turmeric or Haldi must be used when worshipping serpents.

Anant, Vasuki, Shesha, Padmanabha, Kambal, Karkotak, Ashwa, Dhritarashtra, Shankhpal, Kaliya and Takshak are the names of all the serpents. On the day of Nag Panchami, write all these names on the wall with turmeric-sandal paste.

Chant this mantra while worshipping,

“अनन्तं वासकिं शेषं पद्मकम्बलमेव च।तथा कर्कोटकं नागं नागमश्वतरं तथा।। धृतराष्ट्रंं शंखपालं कालाख्यं तक्षकं तथा। पिंगलञ्च महानागं प्रणमामि मुहुर्मुरिति।।”

“anantaṃ vāsakiṃ śeṣaṃ padmakambalameva ca।tathā karkoṭakaṃ nāgaṃ nāgamaśvataraṃ tathā।। dhṛtarāṣṭraṃṃ śaṃkhapālaṃ kālākhyaṃ takṣakaṃ tathā। piṃgalañca mahānāgaṃ praṇamāmi muhurmuriti।।”

This is the namaskar mantra for Naag Devta.

According to the beliefs, cooking anything in an iron pan on the day of Nag Panchami is a prohibited act.

Apart from this, prepare a Payas made of wheat, milk, gram or chana, paddy or rice and roasted barley with full devotion and a purposeful mindset, and offer it to the snakes.

Lord Shri Krishna & Nag Panchami

An account of Nag Panchami is also associated with Lord Krishna. According to this story, once upon a time, Lord Krishna was playing with his friends when his ball accidentally fell into the river. This was the same river which served as the abode to the Serpent King Kalia Nag, who was sent by Kansa to kill Krishna. Seeing the ball going into the river, Lord Krishna also jumped into the water, where Kalia Nag attacked him. However, Lord Krishna taught him a lesson, after which Kalia Nag apologised for his actions and vowed never to harm anyone in the village. The victory of Shri Krishna over Kalia Nag is also celebrated as Nag Panchami.

Significance of Nag Puja

It is said that once Naglok started burning as a result of Matra-Shrapa or the Maternal Curse. To get rid of the excruciating pain, Snakes were bathed with Cow Milk on the auspicious occasion of Nag Panchami. The Cow’s milk cools down the agony caused by the fire and at the same time, provides relief from the fear of snakes to the devotees who perform the task. For a native who performs the fast and rituals with a true heart on the day of Nag Panchami, both the Sheshnag and Vasuki, the best among the Nagas, pray with folded hands to Lord Hari and Lord Shiva.

Things To Avoid On Nag Panchami

Excavation or any kind of digging of land on the day of Nag Panchami is prohibited.

For carrying out the Nag Puja, always worship either the picture or the idol made of clay or metal of Nag Dev. Read the article till the end to know why you should avoid worshipping real serpents.

Apart from this, you can offer Milk, Rice or Dhaan, Kheel or Puffed Rice and Doob. Along with it, if possible, purchase the serpent from the Snake Charmer and release them in the wild.

Why Milk Shouldn’t Be Offered On Nag Panchami

On the day of Nag Panchami, it has been observed that in many places, people devotedly worship Snakes captured by Snake Charmers, which is wrong. Let us tell you why this is wrong. Actually, Snake Charmers capture wild snakes and break their teeth, which makes them highly vulnerable and incapable of hunting their prey. Due to this, they are forced to stay hungry.

After this, the hungry snake considers the milk offered to him as water for drinking. But drinking this milk can worsen the wounds formed due to their teeth being broken by the Charmers, hence further worsening the situation, and eventually, the snake dies. One major fact to understand is that a snake is not a herbivore organism by nature and doesn’t drink milk. In such a situation, people should worship their statue or idol instead of real and alive snakes.

Let us talk about Rahu. There are various notions and superstitions regarding Rahu and its effects on our lives. People usually consider Rahu as an inauspicious planet; however, the reality seems completely opposite. Rahu forms an eclipse with either the Sun or Moon in a kundli, whose impact can be seen in your family life, career, marriage, profession etc. It can completely turn the tables and make a native touch the heights of success. However, its afflicted placement gives rise to several obstacles.

Next is Ketu. Many consider Ketu as an unfavourable planet as well; however, outcomes may vary. Ketu present in the third, sixth and eleventh house of a kundli enables a native to move forward in life. This shadow planet with either the Sun or the Moon, creates an eclipse or Grah Dosha and impacts various aspects of life.

Mythological Legend Associated With Shadow Planets Rahu and Ketu
In Hinduism, Sawrbhanu was the son of Simhika and quite powerful and intelligent. To obtain the Nectar of Immortality or Amrit derived from Samudra Manthan or Churning Of The Ocean, a situation of warfare had arisen among the Gods and Demons. At that time, Lord Vishnu took the form of Mohini and initiated a reconciliation between two sides. After this, Lord Vishnu in the form of Mohini first started distributing the Nectar to the Gods and planned to trick the Demons. When Swarabhanu saw this and realised the trickery, he took the form of a God and sat in line.

The moment he tasted the Nectar, the Sun (Lord Surya) and the Moon (Lord Chandra) recognized the true identity of Swarabhanu and revealed his truth in front of Lord Vishnu. Enraged, Lord Vishnu separated his head from the torso with his Sudarshan Chakra, but since the Nectar had reached his throat by then, his body became immortal.

From then, his head attained the name Rahu and torse, Ketu. This is the reason why Rahu and Ketu forms an eclipse with the Sun and the Moon as an act of revenge.
